Murphy the Monster from Albany says: I was a wild kitten. I adopted my humans because they fed me. They put in a cat door so I knew they wouldn't trap me in their house. They tried to catch me in a possum cage trap once very early on....ha!! I enjoyed the salmon bait they used but of course I didn't set the trap off.
My humans caught a wild kitten up the road earlier this year. They fed it every day for a couple of weeks and so it got to trust them and they could pick it up. Trust humans?! Ha! They put it in a carry cage. I said I didn't want to share my house with anyone, so i made them take it to the SPCA to be adopted elsewhere.
I am an Ocicat, I was born on Feb 11th 2004 along with several brothers and my sister Bob (look blame Chris for that name) . Bob and I selected our "owners" by stealth and charm and came to live on 12 acres in Dairy Flat New Zealand after a brief stay at the pet shop. Unfortunately Bob, the long distance explorer managed to meet the only car for a week on our country road and died in May 2007. Bob was the big blogger having learnt to type by watching Chris. I have been trying to carry on the story.
I moved back in with my original owner in Kerikeri when she came back from a five year "holiday" in Canada.
